Buying gifts for other people can be challenging so the purpose of this article is to help you find mini backpacks for fans of Star Wars.
George Lucas started this fandom way back in 1977. Relatively speaking, it was a low-budget movie (when looking at the budgets for the movies that followed the original) that was a hit right from the start. Something about Like Skywalker and his quest hit home for a lot of people, and a worldwide fandom was started.
I am happy to say that there are a wonderful variety of bags to choose from. The items seen below cover many of the movies in the franchise and include characters and design elements that will be easily recognized by people within the fandom. Any of these would be perfect for teenagers and adults. Any of these would be perfect for a day at Disney’s Galaxy’s Edge.

Furry Chewbacca Mini Backpack For Star Wars Fans
Chewy is one of the most iconic sidekicks in any series and he is loved by many. This bag does a wonderful job of depicting his, well, hairiness. His mouth is open and I can hear his roar in my head as I look at it. Although, it looks like he is laughing so maybe my brain got it wrong when I imagined hearing his roar.
This bag has a zippered pocket on the front and is adorned with the wookie’s bandolier going across it, just like how he wears it. There is also a zippered pocket on the inside.
The latest Star Wars character to become wildly popular was originally known as Baby Yoda until his name was revealed to be Grogu. This bag depicts him sitting in the satchel that he was carried in during season two. I love how his ears stick out beyond the edges of the bag.
On the outside, you will find a front pocket that is about one inch in depth, which leaves room for you to store things like sunglasses and hand sanitizer. You’ll find another pocket on the inside, one that zips shut.
Exclusive R2-D2 and C-3PO For Star Wars Fans
The first movie introduced us to the concept of intelligent, talking androids. The two most famous of these are R2-D2, a short, can-shaped android that rolls from place to place and held within it the secret message from Princess Leia, and C-3PO, a human-sized android who can be sassy in his responses, and is mostly gold, although one of his legs is silver.
This bag was supposed to be sold exclusively at the 2020 Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, CA. The COVID-19 pandemic, however, caused the event to be canceled so this bag has been made available through other means, making this a more accessible item even if it is a limited edition of only 600.
The all-over print has both characters, along with the rebel logo in blue and pink, and “BEEP BEEP”, which is one of the noises made by R2-D2 when he talks.
The front has a zippered pocket with a STAR WARS zip charm used to open and close the pocket.
R2-D2 Android Bag For Star Wars Fans
R2-D2 is an android that Princess Leia put a distress message into. After a series of events, he was found by Luke Skywalker, who saw the message which partially helps lead him to join up with the rebel fighters.
This bag was designed to look like this small robot. It even has the right shape of the robot. Just don’t expect any messages from damsels in distress to play from it.
Not only does this have a front pocket, but it also has two side pockets. The inside lining is covered in hearts of both R2-D2 and his friend BB-8.
Rebel Alliance Mini Backpack For Star Wars
The rebels in George Lucas’s universe are fighting to defeat the Galactic Empire. The Rebels are the proverbial good guys, while the Empire is the proverbial bad.
This uses the Rebels’ logo, as well as what looks like the kind of computer console that they used. The orange and white are the same colors as their uniforms.
You’ll find two slip pockets on the sides and one front pocket on the outside. It’s large enough for a fair amount of items but I don’t think you’ll be able to fit your lightsaber inside. 😉
Star Wars Furry Wicket The Ewok Bag
Ewoks are small, intelligent creatures who live on the forest moon of Endor that resemble fluffy teddy bears. They were introduced in the third movie, Return of the Jedi, and fans immediately fell in love with them. Wicket Wystri Warrick, more commonly known as Wicket, was an important ally to the Rebellion and helped them defeat the Galactic Empire during the Battle of Endor.
This bag is made to look like this tiny Ewok’s face, right down to the design on the headband with the three Xs. Two adorable ears stick up from the front pocket. There are also two slip pockets on the side and a zip pocket on the inside.
Satin Princess Leia Mini Backpack
Princess Leia Organa was a warrior within the Rebel Alliance who worked hard and rose in the ranks to become a leader of the Resistance. She was fierce but she was also beautiful and elegant.
This bag was designed with the latter in mind. Instead of the traditional faux leather, this one is made of satin. The material is soft and feminine.
It is also white and beige, the colors of the jacket worn by the princess in The Empire Strikes Back. It has the Rebel logo on top and the front pocket has a repeating diamond pattern on it. On one side of the diamond pattern is what looks like Rebel credentials.
The inside has a zippered pocket and it is lined with “Princess Leia Organa” repeating on it like a signature and the Rebel emblem.
Light Up Mini Backpack For Darth Vader Fans
Darth Vader may have started out his life as a sweet boy named Anakin Skywalker but he ended up as a ruthless cyborg killer who rose fairly high up in the Galactic Empire. He hunted the members of the Rebel Alliance but in the end, he sacrificed everything he’d worked for to save his son, Luke Skywalker.
This is designed to look like Darth Vader’s mid0section, which was covered with lights and other computerized elements. The body of the bag is black like the clothes that he wore. Â The front pocket has what resembles his belt.
There is a lot to love with this but perhaps the best aspect is that five of the elements on the top portion light up.
Wicket wasn’t the only Ewok. He was just one of a tribe that lived in Bright Tree Village. Â They come in a variety of colors, although they were all basically the same size and looked so adorable that you just want to hug them!
This has a repeating pattern with Ewoks that are done in a cute style called chibi. Because the design repeats all over, no to mini backpacks will look the same.
This has a front zipper pocket that is about one inch deep and also has two side slip pockets. The inside is lined with material that has images of the village and forest that they live in, with Ewoks scattered throughout.
