We might not know what kind of a bird that Kevin is but we do know that she was beautiful, friendly, and curious. This bag captures her personality wonderfully and I highly recommend this. It is sure to have people complimenting it when worn.

QUALITY OF THE KEVIN MINI BACKPACK
Just about anyone who has a Loungefly bag knows that they are sturdy and well-made, not just pretty to look at. This mini backpack is no exception, and will stand the test of time and use.
DESIGN AND COLOR
This bag is designed after the bird that Russell found on his adventures with Carl. The bird, which Russell named Kevin, is incredibly colorful and so is this!
The front looks like Kevin’s face, and the sides and front pocket show variations in her vibrant feathers. I love how it appears that the bag is looking at you because of Kevin’s huge eyes.
The colors are royal blue, yellows, oranges, reds, grey, and pinks. The combination makes for a very happy looking bag.
MATERIAL, TEXTURE, AND STITCHING
As is true with almost all Loungefly purses, this is made of vegan leather, so no animals were harmed to make it. The material is soft and smooth, similar to real leather.
The threads used for stitching match the colors of the materials being stitched so that it isn’t noticeable unless you are looking for it. The stitching is done with thick thread, which adds to the quality of the product.
HANDLES / STRAPS
There is a small handle on the top of the bag. This handle can be used to pick up or hold the backpack, or you can hang it from a hook when not in use. You can even display it on a wall using the small loop.
The back has two shoulder straps that are padded for comfort when worn. The top portions of the straps are padded but the bottom portions are made of nylon. This is the part of each strap that is adjustable and it extends to fit more body sizes. The straps are easy to adjust and not likely to unintentionally extend more than you want when worn, as some cheap backpacks that I have do.
EXTERNAL POCKETS
The front of the bag has a pocket that is about one inch deep. That gives you a good size for storing things like car keys, hand sanitizer, a small pack of tissues, lip balm, and other odds and ends.
Each side has a small slip pocket. These aren’t big enough for a bottle of water but you can use them to store things like gum, a face mask, receipts, and sunglasses.

ZIPPERS AND DECORATIVE ITEMS
The zippers are made of silver-toned hardware and each zip pull has Loungefly stamped on it. The zippers are sturdy and made to last.
The main compartment has two zippers, which is my preference because it means that you can choose where the bag closes. Left, right, or middle, you get to decide.
Loungefly sometimes includes decorative items like charms. There technically isn’t a decorative item on this bag but there is a nice little touch on the front. That’s where you can see Kevin’s head feathers, which stick up from the bag.
OPENING AND BOTTOM
The opening is towards the front of the bag. As with the two zippers, I like this better than an opening that’s more in the middle because I find it easier to get inside. All you need to do is pull the front flap forward and you can access the contents that are in the mini backpack.
The bottom is the same royal blue as the top, and it is flat so you can easily set this down on a flat surface and the bag will stand up.
LINING AND INTERNAL POCKETS
The lining is made of fabric that has a repeating pattern on it. The pattern is a combination of leaves and Kevin either walking or standing.
Most Loungefly mini backpacks have at least one internal pocket but this one doesn’t have one. I’m not sure why and I think that’s a lost opportunity because it allows users to keep smaller items organized. I love extra pockets and dislike when one of my bags doesn’t have any. Fortunately, there is a pocket on the outside that you can use for items that you don’t want jumbled on the bottom inside the bag.
DIMENSIONS AND SIZE
The dimensions for this bag are 10.5″ H x 9″ W x 4.5″ D.
This is a great sized mini backpack because it’s large enough for things like a water bottle, telescoping umbrella, book, cell phone, wallet, snacks, common medicines like Tylenol, and other items that you might want with you when you use this. It’s pretty much the same size as a typical purse, so you have lots of room to carry things.
CAN THIS BAG FIT IN A THEME PARK LOCKER?
If you never plan on going to a theme park with this bag then you can ignore this. However, fandom bags are very popular at places like Disney and Universal Studios. If you even plan on going to a theme park with your bag then you probably want to make sure that it will fit inside their lockers.
This can easily fit inside the lockers found at most theme parks, including the free lockers at Universal Studios and Disney parks. Which means you can take this with you and not have to worry about it not fitting, because it will.
CARING FOR THE LOUNGEFLY UP MINI BACKPACK
Bags always start out clean but life happens and sometimes so do stains. If that happens then the information below will help you make it look new again.
Loungefly products that are made from man-made materials and look like faux leather are easy to keep clean. All you need to do is wipe down the outside with a clean, soft, damp rag that has been wetted with soapy water. Use a small amount of a mild detergent like Dawn or liquid soap. Clean any stains, then wipe down the exterior of the bag with a dry, clean cloth. Or, you can also use alcohol-free baby wipes to clean the bag, which is even easier.
