QUALITY OF THE BOBA FETT CROSSBODY PURSE
While doing research on this Boba Fett purse I found one person who said that the strap came unstitched but that was the only negative comment that I saw. Everyone else who bought it loves it! Loungefly usually has high-quality products, but when something goes wrong, they do not offer help. I’ve experienced that myself, but I continue to buy Loungefly bags because problems with them have been minimal and I love their designs, so it’s very possible that the strap that came apart was an anomaly, especially given all the other positive comments and reviews.
DESIGN AND COLOR
The design of this bag is based on the helmet worn by Boba Fett and is instantly recognizable to Star Wars fans. It also has a metal label on the top that says STAR WARS and loungefly.
The primary color of the bag is green, which is the color that he painted his armor after he inherited it from Jango Fett, who he was cloned from and is the adoptive son of. It also has red, black, brown, and gold. The red, black, and gold are on the front, and the brown is on the edges that go all around it – the top and part of the sides, as well as the straps.
TEXTURE
This crossbody bag has a grainy look and feel to it, like real leather.
MATERIAL
The material might look like leather, but it’s actually all man-made. That means that no animals were harmed to make it.
STITCHING
Very little of the stitching is visible. The small amount that is can be seen at the two zippers and the red part of the design. The thread was chosen to match these colors.
HANDLES / STRAPS
This bag has a single shoulder strap. The strap is made of polyester and can be attached or removed from the back of the bag. It can also be adjusted so that it fits most people. The straps are the same shade of brown as the top and the edging that goes around the purse.
As I write this review I’m trying to figure out why the strap is removable. I would understand this better if there was a handle for holding the bag but there isn’t a handle. The only thing that I can think of is that it’s so you can store the strap inside the bag when you aren’t using it. That’s actually a nice option because I can tell you that none of my bags have removable straps and they can sometimes get tangled with each other, despite my best efforts to keep them neat and tidy.
EXTERNAL POCKETS
There is a zippered pocket on the front, which has gold-toned hardware. It is a good size for things like a small wallet, glasses, hand sanitizer, keys, or lip balm.
ZIPPERS
There is a single gold-toned zipper that opens the bag from the top. I prefer a double zipper because it allows me to choose which way the bag closes, but this closes always on the same side.
DECORATIVE ITEMS
The front zipper has a gold-toned pull charm in the shape of the mythosaur skull sigil, which is also known as the Mandalorian skull. This is the same shape that Boba Fett has on his shoulder pads and was sometimes mistaken for a bantha skull. Without giving away too much, the mythosaur was an important creature in the culture on planet Mandalore.
OPENING AND BOTTOM
The opening of this bag is similar to that of a mini backpack that opens on the top and a bit on each side. It opens enough so that you can look inside and find what you need without having to dig around too much.
The bottom is the same green as the sides and front of the purse.
LINING AND INTERNAL POCKETS
The inside is completely lined with brown fabric material that has lighter brown mythosaur skull sigils on it.
There is an additional pocket on the inside of this Mandalorian purse and it zips closed to protect any contents stored within it.
DIMENSIONS AND SIZE
The dimensions for this bag are 9″ T x 7″ W x 2 1/2″ D.
This is on the small end of crossbody purses. It will fit a wallet, cell phone, a small camera, notepad, and other similar-sized items. In short, it’s not too big and it’s not too small. It’s just the right size to fit your essential items.
CAN THIS FIT IN A THEME PARK LOCKER?
If you never plan on going to a theme park with this bag then you can ignore this. However, fandom bags are very popular at places like Disney and Universal Studios. If you even plan on going to a theme park with your bag then you probably want to make sure that it will fit inside their lockers.
Thanks to its size, this will easily fit inside theme park lockers so you can wear this without worry during a visit to the Disney parks or your other favorite theme park.
