If you’ve read my blog then you know that I love to visit Universal Studios. When I’m there I’m more likely to see purses and bags for Universal intellectual properties, such as Harry Potter, DC comics, or Jurassic Park, but it’s not unusual to also see Disney bags. That’s exactly what happened to me on this visit.
I was waiting in line for the new VelociCoaster ride when I saw a woman wearing a Disney Cats mini backpack. This is made by Loungefly and I’ve loved it since the first time I saw it, but this was my first time seeing it in person. It is even lovelier in real life than in pictures.
The bag is a little unusual in that it has two front pockets, not just one. Each pocket has the face of a famous kitten on it, and each face sticks out just a little bit. That gives this mini backpack a 3D appearance. You can kind of see what I mean in the picture above.
The characters seen here are Marie from The Aristocats (the white kitten), Figaro from Pinocchio (the black and white kitten) and Oliver from Oliver & Company (the orange kitten).

As you can see, there are side slip pockets. These are convenient because they give you quick access to whatever you put inside. I use mine for things like hand sanitizer, lip balm, and small snacks.
A little later that same day, which still at Universal Studios, I was pleasantly surprised to see this bag again on someone else! It shows that I’m not the only one who loves it.
It is rare for me to see the same bag more than once from different people, so this was a rare treat for me. I love cats so it also made me very happy that it was this mini backpack that I saw twice. 🙂
