The other day I was out and about when I saw a woman walk by who was wearing the Loungefly chibi Beetlejuice bag.
I’m not going to lie, I might have fangirled just a bit since this is a favorite movie of mine, one that I finally got my younger daughter to watch last year. She LOVED it! After we finished viewing it she asked why I hadn’t “let” her watch it before. I had to laugh because I’d been trying to get her to watch it for several years but she’d expressed no interest in it. Somehow she switched things up in her head and now thinks I wouldn’t let her watch it, which couldn’t be further from the truth.
Tim Burton has long been a favorite film creator of mine and Beetlejuice holds a special place in my heart. It was just scary enough to a young me that I hid my eyes in a place or two (I can’t believe that I just admitted that) but it’s also deliciously and wickedly funny.
The dinner party scene where Adam and Barbara try to scare the Deetz family into leaving is one of my absolute favorites and just thinking about it now makes me want to hear “Day-O (The Banana Boat Song)”. You’re thinking about it now, too, aren’t you?
I wrote about this bag, which you can see by clicking here, including where to buy it.
