How To Easily Organize Your Purse

This site is dedicated to fandom inspired bags but I haven’t forgotten about the things that you put inside them. That’s why I’ve written this post about how to easily organize your purse.

My husband and kids can confirm that I am very particular about maintaining order in our home. This extends to the bags that I use each day because I hate when things are all jumbled up inside them.

I’d been doing okay on my own but knew that I could do an even better job so I searched for advice to help with this. The young lady in this video is not only adorable but offers quite a few really great tips, many of which I’d never thought of before but will be doing going forward.

If you’ve read any of my reviews then you know how much I love when my purses have pockets, the more the better. But pockets aren’t the only way to maintain order within your bags. I’m happy to say that I now have a few more tools in my proverbial arsenal.

Supplies Needed

Soft Glasses Case with Top Opening

Purse Table Hanger

Wallet

Portable Straw with Protective Container

Tampon Tube

Pocket Scrunchies

Step by Step Instructions

1. When putting things inside your purse, don’t stack things one on top of the other. Instead, keep all items vertical inside your bag. Keeping items vertical and not on top of each other will make it much easier to find what you need without having to remove a lot of things because you can actually see what’s inside.

2. Choose a wallet that is large enough for everything you need but small enough to fit inside your purse. It should have places for your cash, coins, license, and your various cards. It can be either a fold-up wallet, which will be a bit thicker when folded, or a long wallet as long as it isn’t too long for your bag.

3. Make your keychain as small as possible. Instead of having ALL your keys, keep only the ones with you that you will use, such as your home and car keys. This will also help keep your bag from getting to heavy because multiple keys can get heavy quickly.

4. Use small pouches that open on the top instead of zipping open along the side. Adding and removing items from the top means that you can see just about anything that’s inside without doing a lot of rummaging around, just like I described in step one with your purse. You can inside things like tampons, perfume, lip balm, hand lotion, hair ponytail holders, and pens.

5. Speaking of tampons, you can keep those inside a protective tube. Not only do they avoid potential embarrassment if it falls out but it also protects them from damage while in your purse. All the woman who have kept tampons in their purses will know exactly what I’m talking about.

6. If you carry a reusable straw with you then use a telescoping metal straw that comes with a cleaning brush and its own tube for keeping it clean when not in use. Some of these come with a key chain holder so you can attach it to your keys.

7. Keep your purse clean when you are sitting at a table by using a table hanger. This isn’t technically an organizational tip but it’s helpful nonetheless. There are different kinds of hooks but they all do the same thing: You use them to hang a purse on a hook that easily attaches to a table. This is perfect when there’s no place to safely set your bag or if you don’t want to risk getting it dirty on the floor. Most hooks fold up and can be kept inside your bag until needed.

8. Keep a pocket scrunchie in your bag that you can use to keep long hair out of your face while also hiding small things like cash or a key.

As you can see, keeping your backpack, purse, or bag organized is simple when you have the right tools. A little effort now will pay off big time when you need to find your wallet, cell phone, or whatever else you carry with you. This is something that anyone can accomplish so I encourage you to try it!
